In this module, participants will gain a deeper understanding of the Leave Management Unit and Form G-2. The Leave Management Unit, in the Office of Fiscal Services - Operations Section, was formed as a result of a reorganization of the Office of Fiscal Services approved in December, 2014. The approval memo states the primary purposes of the unit are to assist schools and offices with leave accounting and Form G-2 audits.
Prior to the startup of the Leave Management Unit, Form G-2 was processed by staff in DOE Payroll in addition to their many other responsibilities. The Leave Management Unit allows improved focus, attention, and support to schools and offices for leave accounting.
