In this module, participants will gain a deeper understanding of the SASA and Secretary's responsibilities as it relates to leave accounting. Leave Accounting is a very important responsibility of the SASA, Secretary, or other employee who has been designated as the Timekeeper for the school or office.
Provide sign in-sign out sheets (if no timeclock)
Receive leave forms from salaried employees, and review before giving to the Administrator to sign
Inform the Administrator of possible Unauthorized Leave Without Pay
Reconcile sign in-sign out sheets to leave forms
Verify leave information for new/transferred employees
Input leves to TnA timely
Provide Form 7 to employees at least annually
Maintain separate Employment-related Personnel Folder for each salaried employee for leave forms
Know the types of leave, and leave benefits for bargaining units
Calculate leave adjustments when necessary
Complete form G-2 (when employee separates or in other circumstances)
Strive for sufficient office staffing
