In this module, participants will gain a deeper understanding of the policies, processes and forms to document authorization for payment of stipends. Stipends are payments made to certificated teachers and 10-month Educational Officers for attending training activities during non-work hours. The SASA’s role in stipends is entering stipend payments in the Casual Payroll System for the employee who attended the training activity.
Know who can, and who cannot, receive stipend payments.
Know which activities can, and which cannot, result in stipend payments.
Know which form documents the employee’s right to receive a stipend payment.
Understand that an Expenditure Plan must be made for Stipends before entering a stipend payment in the Casual Payroll System.
