In Year 13 students will be working on their coursework whilst also studying 'Protest, Agitation and Parliamentary Reform in Britain, 1780-1928'.
Their coursework is focused on Russia and tends to look at either causes of the Bolshevik revolution or the popularity of it. This constitutes 20% of the students' final marks.
'Protest, Agitation and Parliamentary Reform' comprises of both a breadth and a number of depth studies. We choose to cover the breadth angle first of all, by looking at the reform of Parliament and then the changing influences within it, specifically the impact of said reform.
Thereafter, the five depth studies are radical reformers, Chartism, the Contagious Diseases Acts and the campaigns for their repeal, the Suffragettes and, finally, trade union militancy. As with other topics, the revision guide is well worth it...
