Photos from Teachers' Day Celebration Live Session
Last October 5, 2021, students at Holy Family Montessori had a short morning celebration for their assigned teacher/s, followed by a noon celebration for all teachers via Google Meet, which was organized by Montessori leaders.
Every year, the World Teachers' Day is celebrated to show honor and appreciation for our teachers' hard work and effort. This year, where classes are held online because of the pandemic, the community of Holy Family Montessori memorialized this event twice.
The first celebration, which was on the morning of October 5, 2021, was between the teachers and their corresponding advising class. Teachers who did not have any advising classes were still able to celebrate by joining other grade sections. The students prepared different kinds of presentations like games, videos, and intermission numbers for their advisers. They simultaneously sent their greetings and thanksgiving to them during their Google Meet live. Class presidents guided their classmates in the preparation of the celebration and everybody cooperated to make sure that their prepared surprises would be successful. Each grade level provided distinct concepts to surprise and make their teachers happy.
The second celebration was during the afternoon, wherein all of the teachers and students from different grade levels were joined together. It was held via Google Meet and hosted by the student council members. The hosts presented the prepared video of each grade level that shows heartwarming messages and appreciation to their teachers. There were also a song intermission performed by the Glee Club members and a dance video prepared by the Montessori Dance Company (MDC). Lastly, there were also awards given to the teachers who showed great character to their students. Some of these awards are the ‘’Happy Camper Award’’, ‘’Down to Earth Award,” ‘’Exceptional Listener Award,” and ‘’Anakula Award.’’ Teachers showed great excitement and joy upon hearing their names on each of the awards given to them. The hour-long afternoon celebration was a success as it was being presented smoothly without any connection and technical problems. The teachers enjoyed the program prepared by the Montessori student council.
This celebration was done to give thanks to teachers who give their time and effort teaching valuable lessons to their students. Having them is very important for they are one of those people, who help in nurturing different values and knowledge that every student would surely use later on in their lives.
