Holy Family Montessori focuses on its approach to nurturing children based on Montessori Ideals. It is the school's mission to instill a sense of confidence and a genuine curiosity for learning all within a nurturing and caring environment. Further, part of its mission is to inspire young people to become well-adjusted and well-rounded citizens of the world.
The first stage of development is a period of transformation. This is characterized by the presence of a conscious absorbent mind which allows the child to consciously and willingly learn from his environment. All the materials in the prepared environment provide him with opportunities for independent development.
The Casa level is further divided into three (3) levels:
Junior Casa (Nursery 1) - Children ages 3
Junior Advanced Casa (Nursery 2) - Children ages 4
Advanced Casa (Kinder) - Children ages 5
HFM Elementary students are the pupils from Grade 1 to Grade 6. This program forms a community of children working together and alongside one another. Dr. Maria Montessori discovered that children at this age have extraordinary powers of mind. She called it “the absorbent mind.” It is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to absorb knowledge with peak receptivity.
HFM High School program is characterized by a student-centered approach that enables students to manage time, exercise choice, organize themselves, and practice self-regulation within a group context. This development of independent self-management is crucial to succeeding in higher education and adulthood.
The High School Program is divided into two (2) levels:
Junior High School - This level corresponds to Grades 7 to 10.
Senior High School - This level corresponds to Grades 11 to 12.
