Last October 29, 2021, students and teachers at Holy Family Montessori staged an online culmination for the Holy Rosary on Google Meet and YouTube live.
October 29 of 2021 was the last day of celebrating the month of the Holy Rosary in school. The Campus Ministry initiated the activity.
Every Montessorian, as well as the teachers and the principal were assembled together to pray and meditate. In this time of pandemic, even though they haven't seen each other for a long time, Montessorians made it possible to celebrate by watching the program live on Holy Family Montessori's Youtube channel. In this year's Culmination, each grade level participated to lead the prayer in every mystery of the Holy Rosary. The reason for this event was to let everyone be familiar with how to pray and lead the rosary as a way of commemoration.
HFM’s Campus Ministry, who was mainly in charge of the Culmination, collaborated with different clubs such as the Glee Club, and the Montessori Dance Company (MDC). This event taught everyone that even in this time of pandemic and even in times of great uncertainty, unity and praying are always and most especially necessary.
Moreover, some students were asked regarding their thoughts on this recent program. "I was happy because every grade level was assembled together even though it was only virtual. We are also happy even though we are not on a face-to-face system. It didn't stop us to honor our Blessed Virgin Mary,” said a Grade 9 student.
In addition to that, the others feel the same way because their relationship with the Lord grew and is much more strengthened. They were very much pleased because even if it was only virtually, Montessorians gave time to show their appreciation for that specific day.
Even after participating in this event, every Montessorian is still highly encouraged to pray daily as devotion to Mother Mary.
Everyone was also delighted because they managed to celebrate and pray the rosary online, which didn’t seem possible at first due to the pandemic but we could definitely say that despite those doubts, the program became successful.
