REGISTER FOR OUR NEWEST COURSE AP ART HISTORY (10-12th Graders)

Students in 3rd Grade learned about koi fish after completing their Japan unit in their social studies class. Students learned how to draw a koi fish using shapes and lines as well as learned about the symbolism of koi fish and cherry blossoms. Students were introduced to Japanese ukiyo-e artist, Hokusai, and applied his techniques from “The Great Wave off Kanagawa” when creating their background splash. Students learned how to blend colors using crayon and painted their splash in the background using watercolor paint!
