OUR NEWEST ELECTIVE! AP ART HISTORY is a full-year Advanced Placement level course open to 10-12th grade students. The course has NO pre-requisite so it is perfect for those students who have an interest in art and didn't take STUDIO ART or students already pursuing other art electives.
Course Title: AP Art History

Recommended For: Students with a strong interest in art, history, and cultural analysis.
Course Description: Advanced Placement Art History is a college-level course exploring global art and architecture from prehistoric cave paintings to contemporary works. Students analyze 250 significant artworks, participate in real-world learning through museum visits such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art, MoMA, and the Heckscher Museum, prepare for the AP Exam in May, and then complete hands-on individual and collaborative art projects inspired by what they’ve learned.
