During the planned work session students must speak, write, illustrate, investigate, read, and/or listen (SWIRL) when interacting with print, digital, or multimodal text.

• Speaking: Articulate thoughts, debate, explain, and participate in collaborative discussions.

• Writing: Record ideas, structure arguments, and translate thoughts into physical or digital text.

• Interacting: Promots peer collaboration, two-way communication, and confidence building. 

• Reading: Decode text, interpret symbols, comprehend written content, and engage with diverse materials.

• Listening: Receive information, comprehend spoken language, and process auditory cues or conversations.
