My name is Angela Shepard, and I am elated to serve as your child’s 5^th grade Math and Science teacher! I am married and a PROUD mother of two. I have one beautiful daughter, who is a 9^th grader, and one adorable son, who is a 6^th grader. I am also a dog mom to an active Yorkie puppy.

This school year begins as my 22^nd year as an educator. I began my teaching career as a 4^th-8^th grade ELA teacher in Chicago Public Schools. I also served as a 4^th and 5^th grade self-contained teacher in Atlanta Public Schools. I have served in Henry County Schools for the past 14 years, in which I have taught all subjects in 4^th and 5^th grade including EIP math. I am a certified teacher, who holds a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction, and an Educational Specialists’ degree in Teacher Leadership. Teaching is a passion for me, as well as a calling. As I sincerely want students to achieve greatness and grow beyond measures, I have very high expectations for ALL students. I expect students to give 110% each day and strive hard to do their best! I also need parents to be supportive at home by ensuring that homework has been completed daily, checking grades in IC weekly, encouraging your student to ask questions, and staying abreast on all correspondences that I send to you. Please know that I truly need you to help me in the learning and growing process. TOGETHER we can make greater things happen.
