Football, Football Cheer, Flag Football, Volleyball, Softball, Cross Country, and One Act Play. Hampton High School Athletics is excited for an action-packed fall season! From Friday night football and spirited volleyball matches to cross country meets and high-energy cheerleading, and Softball our student-athletes are ready to showcase their hard work and Hornet pride. This season, we’re focused on academic success, sportsmanship, and creating a positive game-day experience for our families and community. Come out and support the Hornets!
Hampton High School is proud to shine a spotlight on our Volleyball Head Coach, Dr. Fletcher, and the outstanding group of student-athletes he leads. Dr. Fletcher brings a wealth of knowledge, experience, and passion to the program, and under her leadership, the team has grown both on and off the court.
This season, the Lady Hornets are focused on building strong fundamentals, teamwork, and resilience. The players have demonstrated a relentless work ethic during preseason, and they are prepared to compete with energy, discipline, and Hornet pride throughout the fall schedule.
Dr. Fletcher’s leadership emphasizes not only athletic excellence but also academic achievement, character, and accountability. He is committed to developing well-rounded athletes who succeed in the classroom, in competition, and in life.
We are excited to watch the growth and success of our volleyball program this season. Be sure to join us in supporting Dr. Fletcher and the Lady Hornets at their upcoming matches!
Hampton High School Athletics is excited to welcome three outstanding leaders to our coaching staff. Each brings unique experience, passion, and vision to their programs, and we look forward to seeing the positive impact they will have on our student-athletes.
Coach Chayla Park – Head Coach Girls Soccer. Coach Park brings energy, skill, and a strong commitment to building a competitive and unified soccer program. Her focus on discipline, teamwork, and player development will help take our Lady Hornets Soccer team to the next level.
Coach Carovita Hill – Head Coach Girls Track & Field. With a deep background in athletics and student development, Coach Hill is dedicated to shaping a strong culture of perseverance and excellence. She is committed to guiding our athletes toward new personal records and continued team success on the track. Coach Hill will also serve as the Assistant Athletic Director over Girls Sports
Coach Kenyatta Watkins – Head Coach Boys and Girls Golf. Coach Watkins brings both knowledge of the game and a passion for teaching student-athletes the finer points of golf. Her leadership will continue to expand opportunities for our Hornet golfers to grow in skill, sportsmanship, and competitive confidence. Coach Watkins will also serve as the Athletic Coordinator for the Department of Athletics

This season, Hampton High is proud to highlight two student-athletes who are making an impact both on and off the field.
Kamauri Dorsey – Football | GPA: 3.8. A standout on the gridiron, Kamauri has already earned recognition as one of the nation’s top players in the Class of 2027. Known for his athletic ability, leadership, and discipline, he continues to set the standard by excelling in the classroom as well.
Catherine Court – Softball | GPA: 4.0. Catherine is a dynamic presence for our Hornet Softball program. With her strong work ethic, competitive drive, and commitment to her teammates, she represents the future of Hampton athletics. Excelling with a perfect 4.0 GPA, she is a true example of balancing academic and athletic excellence.
These student-athletes embody what it means to be a Hornet—excellence in academics, athletics, and character.

Essence Bobo – GPA: 4.3- Student Athletic Advisory Council Ambassador
Hampton High School is proud to recognize Essence Bobo for her outstanding achievements both in the classroom and as a leader on campus. With an impressive 4.3 GPA, Essence exemplifies what it means to be a true student-athlete—balancing academic rigor with extracurricular excellence. As a Student Athletic Advisory Council Ambassador, she represents her peers with integrity, dedication, and vision, helping to strengthen the connection between academics, athletics, and student life. Her commitment to leadership and scholarship continues to set the standard for excellence at Hampton High School. Essence is a shining example of the Hornet values of character, scholarship, and leadership. We are proud to celebrate her as a role model for her teammates and classmates.
