Each year, elementary music teachers send five students to represent their schools and our county in the Elementary Honor Chorus. The event includes a weekend of rehearsals and workshops with a guest clinician who helps prepare them for a culminating concert. The HCS Elementary Honor Chorus is open to all 4th and 5th grade students and narrowed down to only five students from each school.
LaToya Brooks is a native of Atlanta, GA, where she has served as a Performing Arts educator for over 20 years. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Clark Atlanta University and a Master of Science in Music Education from Tennessee State University.
Ms. Brooks has taught multiple disciplines, from band to chorus to drama, on every level. She has served as a Band Director in the metro Atlanta area.
