As we step into another exciting year of athletics, I want to extend my gratitude to the students, coaches, parents, and supporters who make our programs thrive. Sports bring not just competition, but also moments of growth, teamwork, and lasting memories for our athletes. Let’s continue to come together as a community to celebrate their successes on and off the field. Here’s to a safe, successful, and spirited season ahead! 

Early Winter Season: Behind the Scenes

Union Grove Middle School would like to recognize the individuals who work behind the scenes to help our athletic programs run smoothly. Team managers Olivia Garcia and Tori Peal have been instrumental in supporting both football and basketball, consistently working hard to ensure our student-athletes are prepared for practices and games. We also want to acknowledge Jah’Niya Collins  for her dedication and service as a student volunteer, assisting in the concession stand at all athletic events this season.

Celebrating Fall Sports Achievements

Union Grove Middle School athletics had a strong fall season highlighted by several notable accomplishments:

Fastpitch Softball finished as HCMSL Runner-Up

Football earned a playoff berth, showcasing resilience and teamwork throughout the season

Athlete Spotlight: Who’s Stepping Up Early?

Several student-athletes have demonstrated exceptional commitment and effort early in the winter season:

Maddison Morris – Girls Basketball

Zyler Greene – Boys Basketball

Bodhi Jones – Wrestling

Each of these athletes has shown leadership through consistent attendance, strong work ethic, and positive contributions during practices and competitions.

Meet Our Captains

Union Grove Middle School does not designate team captains; however, all of our student-athletes are encouraged to lead by example through effort, sportsmanship, and accountability.

Student-Athlete Academic Highlights

Maddison Morris continues to excel both academically and athletically while participating in Flag Football and Girls Basketball. She ranks in the top 10% academically at Union Grove Middle School, exemplifying the balance of academic excellence and athletic commitment.
