Early Winter Season "Behind the Scenes"
The staff of Luella Middle has been in stellar Lion Mode in the early weeks of the season. At the Den we have hosted one event each week and each night all responsibilities were filled for concession, admission entrance and monitoring the spectators. Mr. Bonner loves managing the concession stand as we rack up funds!
For the first time in as long as I can remember our Football team had a winning season. With a regular season record of 6-0, they earned a dance in the Undefeated Championship Game. With grace and excellent evidence of sportsmanship they lost a hard fought game to the Stockbridge Tigers. Yet and still they were celebrated thoroughly and have set a new standard.
82% of all Fall athletes are passing all classes. 94% are only failing one class. This calculation includes Football, Flag Football, Cheer, and Softball athletes/managers.
Kylie “Ball Hawk” Brown has kicked off the season averaging more than 15 pts a game. She is scoring at will inside and out, and consistently improving her free throw average. With the team by her side LMS Girls Basketball has started hot with a 5-0 streak!
Coach Alan Couch is in the process of doing it again with LMS Wrestling. This season has started with early success at 3-0, even as the inexperienced boys acquire both skills and discipline on the mat.
Basketball Cheer: Brielynn Tibbs & Trinity Ingram
Girls Basketball: Kylie Brown & I’Liah Flanders
Boys Basketball: Traeh Gentry & Taylor Ricketts-Knowles
Wrestling: Ibrahim Sow & Christopher Hosley
Trinity Ingram finished with the highest gpa of all Fall & Winter Athletes.
Preston Tchampo steadily succeeds in all classes and as an ambassador on the hall. He regularly helps monitor the bathrooms, halls, and cafeteria. Always dependable and in top tier Lion Mode!
