Message from AD Fenty:
Our sports are off to an exciting start, and I couldn’t be more proud of the hard work, dedication, and competitive spirit our student-athletes are showing. Every game, every practice, and every meet is an opportunity to represent our school with pride. Thank you to our families, coaches, and community for your continued support, it truly makes a difference. Let’s keep the momentum going and make this season one to remember!
Tucker Rule and Emmanuella Ubon serve as the wrestling team managers and consistently go above and beyond to ensure the team is prepared for both practices and matches. Their organization, dedication, and willingness to help wherever needed are greatly appreciated, and their support is felt throughout the season.
Charles Carr, our assistant principal consistently goes above and beyond his regular duties to support our athletics program, ensuring our student-athletes have the resources, guidance, and encouragement they need to succeed.
Our basketball managers play a vital role in the success of our program. They are learning valuable new skills such as scorekeeping and game recording, while consistently showing up to every practice and game ready to help wherever needed. Their dedication, reliability, and behind-the-scenes support make a meaningful difference for our team, and we are grateful for their commitment and hard work.
Flag Football- Shout out to our Flag Football team on a great season. They finished second in the regular season and made it to the final four in the playoffs. The last game was a hard fight and every player gave it 100%. Way to make us proud Wildcats!
Softball- Softball made it to the first round of the playoffs where we had a tough game. We had a great group of 8th graders really step up and play well consistently throughout the season. Congratulations on your success this year!
Football- After a long, hard-fought season, our middle school football team battled their way into the second round of the playoffs. Their determination, teamwork, and resilience made this season one to be proud of—congratulations to our players and coaches on an outstanding accomplishment!
Wrestling: Tyler Rivers has been showing up every day to attend practice and has stepped up to help with teaching moves to athletes that are struggling with moves. Outside of athletics, he also maintains good grades and helps out his teachers.
Boys Basketball: Adyn Brown and Sire Scott have been the most consistent players on the boys team. Adyn leads by example, he commands the court vocally, he always plays 100%, and he maintains his grades while in gifted classes. Sire has not missed a practice yet. He goes after every loose ball, rebound and will chase the other team down the court to prevent a fastbreak layup.
Girls Basketball: Madison Babb Even as a new basketball player and in her second sport, she’s learned fast and shows outstanding effort and eagerness to improve.
Wrestling captain Tyler Rivers leads the right way by helping teammates improve, demonstrating techniques, and checking in on others when support is needed.
Boys basketball captains Adyn Brown and Sire Scott lead with heart, hustle, and high expectations. Their goal is simple: get better every day—together.
Girls basketball captain Melanie Trobridge believe leadership means effort, integrity, and lifting others up. Her goal is growth—individually and as a team.
