Welcome to the orchestra family!
I have 20 years of teaching music including in Atlanta, Indiana, and the past decade in Richmond. Roughly 1/3 of my career has been in middle school orchestra, 1/3 in elementary general music, and 1/3 teaching college music education classes. I equally play all orchestral string instruments although I tend to demonstrate on violin just due to portability! I teach at both Fairfield (A Day/Day 1) and Brookland (B Day/Day 2).
I really want to get to know each of the orchestra students and their families. To start the conversation, let me share a little about myself. I live in north Richmond (conveniently between Fairfield and Brookland) with my daughter who is starting 4th grade. I love to be outdoors particularly hiking, mountain & road biking, camping, swimming, and kayaking. I have a small garden, read for fun everyday, and like to cook international cuisine.
