I'm glad that are in the first middle school guitar program in Henrico County Public Schools! We are going to have a great time. In this class, you will learn how to play the guitar, both strumming-style with chords, and picking-style with individual notes. You will play alone and with a group. You also will learn to read music. We will play folk, contemporary, and classical music. We perform on stage, which is your primary test grade, in December, March, and May. This is a participation-based class, so it is important to show up, bring your materials, and try your best! I want you to have fun, make friends, and love music.
