Entry requirements: Minimum of five grade 4’s at GCSE including English Language and Maths and a grade 7 in Maths.
What will I study?
A Level Maths has always been considered by employers as a great qualification to have. It is a useful subject in supporting studies in the Sciences, Social Sciences, Geography and Computing. Indeed, it can also be studied for its own sake. It is fun to master sophisticated techniques and the skills acquired in logical thinking can be applied across a broad selection of academic disciplines. Mathematics as a subject is very respected for training students to think clearly and solve problems.
Course Content
Mathematics involves the evolution of theory to devise techniques to solve numerical problems. The subject is correctly seen as challenging and rewarding. The course is split into Pure, Statistics and Mechanics. Mechanics works well alongside A level in Physics.
