What will I study?
A BTEC National is predominantly coursework assessed and will include portfolio work. It has one exam and up to three externally assessed controlled assessments. Projects are submitted for marking on a regular basis throughout the course. They are assessed internally by your teachers and then moderated by the exam board. Work is graded and written feedback provided, enabling students to gauge how well they are doing on the course. Feedback will help you to see the strengths of your work, as well as allowing you to reflect on areas which can be developed further. Your work will be graded Pass, Merit or Distinction.

What the students say?
"I really enjoyed studying BTEC National Business at Outwood Academy Hemsworth. I enjoyed how interactive the lessons were as we explored a deep understanding of the business world. The amount of support I received from my teachers helped me fulfil my potential, achieve the grades I was capable of, and get an unconditional offer from my first choice of university"
