Installation Guide
For installing an In-Store music media player, please follow the instructions below.

HearDis! In-Store music player (step micro)
Power connector (incl. power adapter)
Cinch connector
3,5mm stereo jack to RCA cable and RCA adapter, 1,5m length
Network Cat 6 cable, 1,5m length (red)
The best installation place is the server cabin/rack (looks similar to the picture)
find a clean place:
near the amplifier
with a power plug (permanent electricity supply)
with access to the network switch device or a network plug
enough space around for proper ventilation
amplifier (BOSE in this case)
power plug
network plug/switch
first connect the audio cable (RCA cable) with the amplifier
choose on the backside one input channel (e.g. AUX, Input A, Line A, ...)
red plug (right channel) in red or R
white plug (left channel) in white or L
ensure to switch to the corresponding input channel on the front of the amplifier (input, music source), e.g. AUX, Input A, Line A, ...

Plug the power connector of the music player
Note that if your country does not support type C or F electrical plugs, you will find a power adapter in the shipping box
Plug the other end of the power supply into the music player
As soon as the new music player is properly connected, it will boot automatically and the power button will light up white
within the next minute, the device will start playing music
Plug the network cable into one of the network sockets of the music player
connect with the CISCO network switch device
Make sure the network cable is using the right port
EU: It is preferred that you use port 34 of the CISCO Switch
(otherwise a port in the range 25 -34) as shown in the picture
France: It is preferred that you use port 34 of the CISCO Switch
(otherwise a port in the range 33 -36) as shown in the picture
PNA: any port (talk to your IT if you run into problems)
The arrows and numbers below indicate the correct patch socket
Check if the connection is working (blinking lights)
When plugging the audio cable into the headphone port of the music player, you should hear music immediately
If you can't hear music, make sure the volume on the amplifier is at an audible level and that the right input channel at the amplifier is selected
If you still can't hear music, check the output signal by plugging headphones into that port of the music player
If you hear music through your headphones, the music player works
If you can't hear music through the headphones, the issue is somewhere else: refer to the troubleshooting guide
If the installation went well and you can hear music, it would be great to give quick feedback
We will also check if the online connection works and your player is updating properly
