Math-

Today we are going to solve a math problem. Take a look at the picture of the plant. We want you to count and predict how many leaves are on this plant. Make your best guess! Next, on a piece of paper, show us your answer. Try showing your answer in 2 different ways. You can use numbers, pictures, tally marks, etc.

Questions to ask your child:

How many leaves were on the plant?

How did you find out your answer? Explain your thinking?

Writing Activity: Draw a picture of you and your family enjoying your favourite thing to do now that Spring is here. Add a sentence or two telling us what you are doing in your picture.

You can go for a walk in your neighborhood or in your back yard. When you find the items take a picture and send them our way.
