Spring '21

A cold winter melds into a newly found spring, where colors shoot up from the ground and plants thrive in the new environment. The snow from this winter is melting away to reveal the grandiosity of spring and the life that comes with it. Our activities during spring bring out the livelihoods we all have- the small details in our lives that make them all the more interesting- and the bits of spice added to our homework to personalize them a tad bit more.

Congratulations!

Le Grand Concours is a national French contest for high-schoolers in which they take a test and compete for the highest score. The trial tests everything and anything from auditory comprehension to image-verbal association. With the amount of people competing for a spot on the leaderboard, Ranking is a huge deal, and we have two winners in our class. Amadou Ndiaye and Kanaan Guilford.

Write About Your Favorite Image

Many say that the physical holds less value than the emotional, but when the physical begins to hold emotional value, you begin to see the stories behind every little thing you pass by while walking along your classroom, as our class did with our project, Mon Recit Sur Mon Image Favorite or in English, Write About Your Favorite Image. Writing about your favorite image about a school most of us had never been to, was a bit difficult, but we tuned into the emotion of this peculiar school year to complete the assignment.

Color Poetry

The blessing of vision is often taken for granted, but when we delve into the magnificence of it, you'll notice that color makes everything brighter, for behind every shadow, there is a source of light that hits a surface perfectly, enough as to etch the dark mark into the ground.

Recently, colors turned into the focus of our french classes and poetry was one of the assignments. The poems varied from the sports people played and how they incorporated color, to the way that the vibrancy around them compared to other objects. All in all, this was a really fun project to write, and let your creative energies flow and paint a picture around you.

WRITE: Books and Pencils- Andrea Armando
