Expand our increased involvement in our learning community to be engaged in. This includes greater communication of our events that focuses on organizing people and graphics/newsletters that have gone out -Events Calender
Kindness Crew will include all 5th grade students in participating in an area of their choosing from a list of opportunities to take on a leadership role.
Assemblies will have a variety of staff members in the planning to target interests from across the school. We had success when we had K-2 and 3-5 assemblies, so we will continue this format.
Zones of Regulations K-2
Connections- intentional planning will continue to focus on creating/deepening connections with our learning community. #ThisisCAS.
Let Grow Project grades 2-5. PreK-1 will focus on Zones and conversations will lead into working on growing and setting goals through the Power of Yet. PreK will have 3 times in the year to get them started.
CAS Buddy Classrooms K&3; 2&5; 1&4. Students will develop relationships across grade levels.
Target reading for pleasure this year.
The events calendar will provide continuity in communication that will increase involvement and knowledge of events.
Announcements will continue to spotlight students, provide examples of Let Grow and Zones of Regulation, and Top Dog Habits. It will also provide students with more leadership opportunities as they work on and behind the camera. The Announcement Club will meet before school to plan and design announcements.
Leadership Assembly with all of L4 &5 on the opportunities they will have to take on leadership roles. Increase student voice!

Spotlight local businesses through our social media that have supported our Fun Run as a way to say thank you for supporting CAS.
Student surveys will continue this year. Staff will review the questions to add/ eliminate or edit language to reduce confusion in any areas they found from last year.
Staff will participate in planning assemblies to provide a variety that will keep students engaged and will focus on Top Dog Habits, Let Grow and Zones of Regulation. This year we want to continue the foundational knowledge of each of these programs but add in how they compliment each other.
Cafeteria will have the following grade levels combined for positive behavior management: 4&5; 1&2; K&2. Buddies will be K&3; 2&5; 1&4.
Let Grow will not take place in K&1. The focus will be on Zones of Regulation to reduce confusion for our youngest learners between the 2 programs. There will still be a focus on working through difficulties and setting goals of self regulation through the Power of Yet. This will provide a foundation for Let Grow in grades 2-5.
PARP began over the summer with a reading challenge to log in minutes read, as well as join in on Read with the Principal events. We will celebrate with a Celebration Assembly on summer reading. We will also continue this focus with guest readers in the classrooms/ small assemblies, as well as, other ways to encourage reading that go beyond our annual Literacy Night.
