Our mission describes our daily purpose - engaging all students in meaningful learning experiences that inspire lifelong learning and prepare them for success beyond school.
Our core values guide how we work together, make decisions, and ensure our schools are safe, kind, and welcoming places where all students belong.
Our commitments identify the key priorities that guide our work across the district and ensure alignment between our beliefs, our actions, and the experiences we create for students.
Together, these components provide a shared direction for our work and ensure consistency across all schools.

Connection to the NYS Portrait of a Graduate
As part of the strategic planning process, the Committee engaged in collaborative dialogue and reflection to examine how the district’s four commitments align to the New York State Portrait of a Graduate. Through this work, the Committee identified how each commitment supports the development of the knowledge, skills, mindsets, and dispositions students need to thrive beyond graduation and in an ever-changing world.
Student-Centered Learning & Belonging supports communication, reflection, identity development, and a strong sense of belonging.
High-Quality Instruction & Professional Capacity strengthens academic readiness, critical thinking, and creative problem solving.
Safe, Supportive & Future-Ready Environments promote well-being, adaptability, and the conditions necessary for learning and growth.
Collaboration & Community Partnerships foster communication, collaboration, and meaningful real-world connections.
