Our strategic plan provides a clear and shared direction for our school community. It is designed to be accessible and easy to understand so that students, families, staff, and community members can quickly see what we believe, what we value, and how we work together to support student success.
Our vision describes the future we are working toward - modern thinkers who create, care, solve, and discover.
Our mission describes our daily purpose - engaging all students in meaningful learning experiences that inspire lifelong learning and prepare them for success beyond school.
Our core values guide how we work together, make decisions, and ensure our schools are safe, kind, and welcoming places where all students belong.
Our commitments identify the key priorities that guide our work across the district and ensure alignment between our beliefs, our actions, and the experiences we create for students.
Together, these components provide a shared direction for our work and ensure consistency across all schools.
As part of the strategic planning process, the Committee engaged in collaborative dialogue and reflection to examine how the district’s four commitments align to the New York State Portrait of a Graduate. Through this work, the Committee identified how each commitment supports the development of the knowledge, skills, mindsets, and dispositions students need to thrive beyond graduation and in an ever-changing world.
