What Is Candling?

Candling is looking inside of an egg by shining a bright LED light to the egg then you can see the inside of the egg.

Why Do You Need To Candle Eggs?

You Need To Candle eggs so you can see if they are growing or if they are rotten eggs (Go to the chart/link to see our eggs that may be rotting.). You can see if they are rotten if they turn dark or a grey color or if they smell. Toss the ones that are grey and a dark color because they can infect other eggs. The eggs can explode in the incubator if you do not throw them away because the bacteria keeps on growing inside the egg.

What Do You Need To Candle Eggs?

You need a LED flashlight or a strong LED light beaming on the egg.

What do You Do With Your Materials for Candling Eggs?

You need to shine the bright LED light on the egg in the dark or if you have a really strong LED light you can do it with the lights on but still try to do it in the dark.

What are The Parts Of The Egg?

The dot shaped looking part (has that shape till day 13) in the egg is called the embryo eye and the vane looking part is called the blood vessels. GO DOWN TO SEE A DIAGRAM OF AN EGG

By the 28th day the egg/eggs should hatch or have the chick inside it if you look at the egg while it is being candled.
