Blitzkriegs were how the Germans got land... despite being overly complicated.
The HIGHLY EFFECTIVE attacks demolished Poland, Luxembourg, The Netherlands, Belgium, and France from Sptember 1, 1939, when Poland was invaded to June 22, 1940, when France gave up. They started with extensive bombings, then followed with a crush of tanks.

Now the Germans controlled most of western Europe. Hitler turned to Africa, the Soviet Union (Russia), and Britain.
