Communism: Is an economic style that has the government own property and citizens share the wealth with each other
Defoliate: To remove plants, trees, leaves, and more.
Disadvantageous: Having an unfavorable match up
Economy: The management of money in the country
Eighth Army: The branch of military responsible for commanding the troops located in South Korea
Embargo: A ban or limit on trade
Franklin D. Roosevelt: 32nd president, served 4 terms as president and led us through WWll until his death in 1945
Guerrilla Tactics: A way of fighting that has you hide away from the enemy instead of facing them in battle this includes sneak attacks, ambushes, sabotage, and raiding
Harry S. Truman: 33rd president of the United States served from April 12 1945 to January 1953
Industrial: Having lots of highly developed businesses
Jewish: A popular religion, mainly based in Israel
Joint Chiefs of Staff: A group of high ranking officers who work in the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps
Ku Klux Klan: A vicious terrorist and racist group
Machine Gun: An automatic firearm with a small calibre designed to hold fast fire
Mao Zedong: The chairman of China from 1949-1959 who was part of the communist party
Mortars: Ground weapons designed to fire at a high arc to hit higher up and flying objects
Romanization: To translate into the Roman language especially languages written in different styles
Secede: Leave
Sino-Soviet border: The Chinese's and Soviet Union's border
Slavery: The practice of enslaving people and once enslaved treated as property
Suicide: To kill yourself
Theatre: A version of a theater
Vietcong: A communist force that was located in South Vietnam and fought and terrorized it's government leaders they were funded by the North Vietnam they used Guerrilla Tactics which is why Agent Orange was used
X Corps: A military force used in the Korean War captained by Major General Edward M. Almond
