Parents/guardians of children who will be five as of September 1, 2022, must enroll their children in kindergarten for the 2022-2023 school year. To begin the enrollment process, complete the online registration form. While completing the online registration form, you can also upload the required documents. Our LoES office will contact you to schedule an in-person or virtual meeting to complete the registration process. During this meeting, you will be asked to verify parental relationships and submit any additional required documentation.
To continue meeting the growing need to feed hungry children and families in Howard County and fill the nutritional gap over the summer months, the Howard County Public School System announces its free summer meal program, which will run weekdays from June 27-Aug. 12, 2022. Learn more HERE.
Did you know that the first Father’s Day was observed on June 19, 1910, the same day recognized for Juneteenth? What better way to celebrate the special man in your family than by celebrating this significant moment in our history at the Reginald F. Lewis Museum as we focus on the theme, “Education as Liberation.” Get more information HERE.
All parents/guardians are in our system to receive HCPSS and school emails/text messages. HCPSS systems will update in early August, at which point parents will automatically receive communication from your child’s 2022-2023 school. Prior to that rollover, you will continue to receive communication from your child’s 2021-2022 school. Please do not attempt to create a new account with your child’s 2022-2023 school. Additionally, unsubscribing from any HCPSS or school messages will block you from receiving all messages from the district and your child’s school. Please do not unsubscribe!
