August 27th - Open House Event at LoES

• 11:00 am - RECC & Kindergarten Orientations

• 12:15 pm - Open House for students in grades 1 & 2

• 1:30 pm - Open House for students in grades 3, 4 & 5

• Our LoES PTA will be hosting outdoor events between 11:30 am and 2:00 pm during Open House. All families are welcome to join us and this time will include activities for students, snacks, and the opportunity to become a member of our LoES PTA. Snowballs will also be available throughout the afternoon for families to purchase (see below).

August 30th - First day for HCPSS students

• LoES Families can access our school supply list for the 2021 - 2022 school year HERE.

• For those families seeking assistance, we are able to provide a backpack with school supplies (while supplies last). Please contact our front office at 410-313-6879 if you would like a backpack of supplies for your student(s)

• The Howard County Multi-Service Center will also be providing FREE school supplies at different locations to Howard County families later this month (see the flyer below).

Family File - Every year HCPSS parents must complete a Family File for each child. HCPSS utilizes Family File for parents/guardians to complete emergency information. Parents/guardians must verify and/or update information for each child, and can do so by logging in to HCPSS Connect and selecting the Family File tab on the left, and then clicking on Family File. A "how-to" video is included below.

Once logged in, you will be asked to update or provide the following information:

• Emergency Contacts

• Medical Information

• Arrival/Dismissal Procedures

• Photo Approval

• Data Confidentiality
