Internet Use
Students and parents are held responsible for school internet use per the HCDE Internet Agreement. Only school appropriate sites may be used. Non-school based email accounts are not to be accessed during a school day. Unapproved printing will result in a fine.
HCDE Cell Phone/Electronics Policy
We realize that cell phones are part of the current culture. However, it is the policy of East Lake Academy that a student is not allowed to have a cell phone from the time he/she enters the building until he/she leaves the building in the afternoon. If a member of the staff sees a student using a cell phone, the cell phone will be confiscated, labeled and taken to the main office.
First Offense: the cell phone will be kept for 10 school days
Second Offense: the cell phone will be kept for 20 school days
Third Offense: the cell phone will be kept until the end of the year
This policy applies to any electronic device or gadget that is confiscated.
