Internet Use

Students and parents are held responsible for school internet use per the HCDE Internet Agreement. Only school appropriate sites may be used. Non-school based email accounts are not to be accessed during a school day. Unapproved printing will result in a fine.

HCDE Cell Phone/Electronics Policy

We realize that cell phones are part of the current culture. However, it is the policy of East Lake Academy that a student is not allowed to have a cell phone from the time he/she enters the building until he/she leaves the building in the afternoon. If a member of the staff sees a student using a cell phone, the cell phone will be confiscated, labeled and taken to the main office.

    • First Offense: the cell phone will be kept for 10 school days

    • Second Offense: the cell phone will be kept for 20 school days

    • Third Offense: the cell phone will be kept until the end of the year

This policy applies to any electronic device or gadget that is confiscated.


Cell phones may be used at the direction of an East Lake Academy Staff person for academic use only.
