Winter Sports are underway with Boys & Girls Basketball, Boys & Girls Soccer, and Boys & Girls Cheer. South Bay League games will be played from mid-January to February 2026. Information will continue to be updated throughout the Winter Season.

Please note: Boys & Girls Cheer Tryouts are only held in the Spring for the following school year. The HVS Cheer Team supports our Dolphins at basketball and football games during the Fall, Winter, & Spring seasons.

Boys Basketball Tryouts (Grades 6-8) are happening on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, from 2:00-3:30 PM and Thursday, December 4, 2025, from 3:00-4:25 PM, in the Hermosa Valley Gym. Once on the team, parents/guardians must complete the HVS Athletics Forms. Additionally, it is recommended students and parents/guardians review the HVS Athletics Handbook. Please note: Students trying out for Boys Basketball must attend both tryout dates. These tryouts are closed to spectators.
