DH 224: Clinical Experience IV

Ultrasonic instrumentation has become increasingly popular in dental practices for most patients. It has shown to be more ergonomic allowing for the hygienist to give a thourough cleaning in a shorter amount of time, therefore making the visit more efficient. In clinic, I have practiced using the ultrasonic on all types of patients with different levels of calculus and periodontal health. This has allowed me to develop the skills necessary to be an efficient and effective hygienist.
