  💁My Learning Experiences

1. Reflect on a poor learning experience.

A poor learning experience I encountered was in one of my workshops for teachers I attended. We didn't have a textbook to get information for the learning. All they give is the topic, put up an example, and have us do a group presentation. Well, group work is one of the top ways of learning in education. However, the problem was that my group members had no idea of each topic and didn't share anything in our group. In my own experience, I didn't learn anything because my groupmates were learning from what I knew about each topic. I realized after the workshop that little I learned and wish it won't happen again.

2. Reflect on your most significant learning experience.

The most significant learning for me is asking questions. If I'm in a classroom, a workshop, a meeting, and anywhere learning occurs, I ask questions to understand unclear things. Some teachers, classmates, friends, or colleagues get annoyed because I can ask many questions needed to find the solution to anything that I'm not clear about. I noticed that asking questions gave me more learning than staying quiet. Therefore, asking questions is a way that provides me with multiple learnings.

For poor learning experience describe: what supported or hindered your learning, what were the conditions, how did you learn?

The support I received was collecting information from people who understand the topics we present in class. I research each lesson using the internet and watch videos that are relevant to the learning. I gather more information from the other teachers from other classes to have more knowledge on each topic. Since the workshop is for teachers to be certified, I tried my best to have more information so I could use it during the test. One thing I learned  from this experience is socializing with others.

Asking questions helped me a lot. Learning might others a hard time but it is a key to learning new things. Asking questions can get other answers from people who understand more. People can give their answers in different ways. They can give new learning that we can use in our lifetime. I learned that people who are interested in learning always ask questions. Therefore, please never hesitate to ask questions.

What connections can you make between your own learning experiences and the resources you read and watched?

They are almost the same because resources provide more ways for information on a lesson. My own learning experiences come from learning and understanding things on my own. Resources might seem different but it is used to fill in missing gaps and provide more information to my knowledge and experiences. Eventually, it supports, provides, and expands my learning. So learning experiences and resources are connected to build and restore my knowledge and understanding for better use in the future or whenever needed.
