We got our Microbit, programmed it to say our name, took a video, put it in our website.
I learned how to work the MicroBit website
I made a song on the website
I worked more on my song and started making a second
I started working on another song and finishing the other.
I finished my song and my new one
I looked up some code and started working on Flappy Bird
I added more code and looked up a few videos at home on how to do it.
I finished the code, recorded a video on it, and finished it on the website.
Using a Microbit, Microsoft MakeCode, and my monitors, I created songs to play on the Microbit because I love music and enjoy making it.
During this process, I learned how to code on Microsoft, how to connect my Microbit to my computer, how to use coding to make music, and how to make it say things.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Creative Communicator because I used digital tools to creatively create music all on my own.
A challenge I overcame on this project was Getting the right notes. I was able to do it by testing each chunk of the song and changing keys or notes to adjust to the small range.
Given a chance to do this again, I would do different songs. The reason why I would change it is because I should branch out more and learn how to play other songs, more or less difficult, to have a wider variety of music skills.
