• Using blender tinkercad and gmail, I created airpod holder because I needed it and it was cool.
  I always misplace my AirPods, and instead of buying a holder, I thought it’d be way cooler to just make one myself. I used Blender to mess around with the design, Tinkercad to line things up better, and Gmail to send the files when I needed help or feedback. It was a fun project, and honestly, it’s just cool to say I made something useful on my own.

• During this process, I learned how to boolean.
  At first, I had no clue what Boolean even meant, but once I figured out that it helps cut or combine shapes, everything started making more sense. I watched a couple of tutorials, messed around with it, and after a while I got it to work. Now I actually like using it because it makes the designs way cleaner.

• The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovative designer because Innovating Designer.
  This project had me thinking outside the box and trying a bunch of different ideas until one actually worked. That’s pretty much what being an Innovative Designer is—figuring stuff out, testing things, and not being afraid to change up your plan. That’s what I did with this holder.

• A challenge I overcame on this project was Booleaning. I was able to do it by looking up youtube videos.
  When I first tried to Boolean stuff, it either wouldn’t work or it messed up my whole model. It was super frustrating. So I went on YouTube, found some good videos, and just followed along. Eventually it clicked, and I was like, “Ohhh, that’s how it works.” After that, I could fix the shape and get the look I wanted.

• Given a chance to do this again, I would change The air Pod holders prob. The reason why I would change it is because its.
  Honestly, the holder works, but if I could do it again, I’d probably make it smaller or add a clip or something. The reason why I’d change it is because it’s a little bulky, and it’d be nicer if I could just hook it onto my bag or something without it taking up space in my pocket.

• Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Engineering design CTE program at Hastings High School.
  I had to plan out a design, use modeling software, and actually make a real thing—that’s pretty much what engineering design is all about. So yeah, this definitely fits into that CTE program.

• My project connects to careers in 3d Modeling and game developer because in games yo need to develop models to create games maps characters and stuff.
  In game dev, you gotta model everything—the characters, the weapons, the worlds, all of it. Doing this project gave me a small taste of how that works. So if you’re into games and want to design stuff for them, learning how to model like this is a big step.
