Using the Hot-Wheel Speedometry car set, David, Gavin, Peightyn and I created a Hot wheel track. We created this track because we thought that it would be something fun and new to do in this class. During this project, I learned how to create a track that doesn't go off track and it also stays at a fast enough speed to complete the track. The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Empowered, the reason it ties to this is I chose what I wanted to do and I did it. Another stander my project ties is Computational thinker because we have to think to do this project. The last stander that I think my project tied to would be Global collaborator.A challenge I overcame on this project was learning how to prevent a lump in the track so the car could go smoothly. I was able to do it by spacing out the track more than we had it. Given a chance to do this again, I would change the amount of tricks and style things in the track. The reason why I would change it is because it look a little boring and did not have enough excitement. This project connect to careers in engineering because it taught use how to problem solve and taught use how to prevent problems.
