It glitches a bit in the video but that doesn't happen with the actual micro bit.

I am working completely by myself.

What materials will you need for your project?

The materials I will use for my project are a micro bit, iPad, and computer.

What is your plan to create in this project?

My plan for this project is to create a virtual pet.

What unique qualities will your project have?

You can press certain buttons to interact and can even shake it to make the pet appear dizzy.

• I created a virtual pet using a 3D microbit, a PC, and an iPad because I thought it would be cool to make a pet and interact with it.

• During this process, I learned the simple things about coding and making something.

• The class's seven standards are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project is tied to the computational thinker because I learned or created something on my computer, in this case, using coding.

• A challenge I overcame on this project was I had a hard time using a computer and coding overall because I used to try to code all the time but failed. I was able to do it by paying attention in class and trying.

• Given a chance to do this again, I would change what happens when you press certain buttons. I would change it because 2 of the interactions are pretty much the same thing.

• The Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers programs in Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, and Marketing. My project is related to the computer programming CTE program at Hastings High School.  

• My project connects to careers in web development because they make and write code to maintain things like websites, etc.
