Day 1
We decided to do a car, made the 'blueprint'. Then we got the base and a side piece cut out.
The start of the jeep , what your seeing is the bottom.
Day 2
I cut out the end of the car and glued all the pieces together making the trunk and Evyn worked on the back tire.
A picture of me holding the back of the jeep after gluing the tire on.
Day 3
Evyn finished putting the back two tires, and I put the back tire on the back of the trunk.
That is a picture of the jeep half built with out the front but both of the sides.
Day 4
We left Kyle alone because we were sick and she ended up putting on some glue and a side and that's about all she has done.
We glued some little pieces of cardboard with seats and us drawn on them into the bottom.
Finish up the finishing touches of the car and fix anything Kyle may have messed up while we were gone, add record our finishing video.
Day 6
Today the last day of the project, we took some professional photos, and just wrote the paragraph below
The basically finished jeep.
Using an iPad, iMovie, and the internet, I created a cardboard Jeep because my group decided we wanted to create a car but so did everyone else so we deciding to focus on a specific type. We all like jeeps so that's what we went with!
During the process of making the Jeep, I learned how to use hot glue efficiently and not waste a bunch like someone Evyn and I know. Anyway I also learned what ways are the best to cut cardboard to make it the most efficient but also safest .
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to global collaborator because I did the project and then I took all the pictures, information, and videos and shared them with the world on my website.
A challenge I overcame on this project was working with people I don't personally enjoy. I dislike a few people but I had to work with someone that I didn't like but I overcame this challenge by staying civil and just saying what I had too.
Given a chance to do this project again, I would work alone or with someone I am super close too. A person on my team didn't do anything until both I and the other person were out due to illness and what they did wasn't what we had planned and it set us back a bit and it just angered me a slight bit but we got passed it.
Hastings High School Carrier and Technical Education Program Offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, and Marketing. Our project connects to Engineering Design because we designed the car (kind of) out of cardboard with our own design and we did really whatever we wanted with the car.
