Using my Mergecube and Cospace I created a story about two astronauts in space because I think the premise is interesting. That is what my project is, how I made it, and why.
During this process I learned How to model my story and set pieces onto my cube.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Computational Thinker because I used a piece of technology to make something that only exists in the physical world.
A challenge I overcame during this project was when I was forced to start all over from scratch after my project didn't save. I solved this by coming up with a new story that was easier to execute instead of redoing my entire old story.
Given a chance to do this project again I would revert to my old story because I feel it has a stronger premise than my new one.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Digital Multimedia CTE in HHS because I made something only visible in the digital world.
My project connects to jobs in video game development because I modeled a world and characters into a basic structure telling a story.
