Using my Microbit I created a recreation of Five Nights at Freddy's because it is a game I really enjoy. I also made it because it would be fun to code and be a good challenge. That is what I made and why.
During this project I learned How difficult coding was. When I first designed my game it was filled with bugs teaching me it's not as easy as it looks. This is what I learned from this project.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Computational thinker because I learned how the Microbit worked and put my knowledge to the test to create my project. This is the class standard my project applied to.
A challenge I overcame when making this project was that at first my game was riddled with bugs. From sequence breaking to not working entirely, but I overcame this challenge by searching my code and fixing all the bugs. This is a problem that came up and that I fixed.
Given a chance I would change my way of coding it. I would look at more tutorials to learn other ways of coding my Microbit to make my game have less code. This is what I'd change about my project
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Computer Programming. It connects this way because I took technology and coded it to give an output I wanted. This is how my project tied to CTE.
My project connects to careers in game design. It connects to game design because I programmed a game into a computer and succesfully created it. This is my connection to real life careers.
