Using, Cardboard and duck tape I created a cardboard plane because I wanted to create a project that you could actually sit in.
During this process, I learned how to cut cardboard more effectively.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to global collaborator because I am going to be sharing my project with the world.
A challenge I overcame on this project was cutting circles. I was able to do it by first tracing the cardboard and then cutting.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the size . The reason why I would change it is because its really hard to sit in it.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the engineering design CTE program at Hastings High School.
My project connects to careers in shoe designers because they make models of their shoes before they ever make the real thing.
