make a boat that can float
What unique qualities will your project have?
hold a lot of pennies
day 1: i looked at different types of boats with good support
day 2: I made and might add more to it tomorrow
Day 3: i tested it and it held 74 pennies
day 4: i made a new boat and it held 156 pennies
day 5: i made a sail boat and it held 15 pennies
Rules: 10 inches of foil, boat cant be more than 6 inches in length, less than 4 inches tall
Mini Reflection: My bout held 74 pennies then it sank, so I think me bout held good. My bout has a multi hull bottom so i think it did good because it had a little bit of an air pocket underneth it. The thing i will change next is to have better walls, and i will change the bottom to a flat bottom.
Mini Reflection: I made a flat bottom boat and it held 156 pennies now i will make a better boat
Using tin foil, I created a bout because I wanted to see if I can make a strong boat.
During this process, I learned how to make a strong boat and hold a lot of pennies.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovation Designer because I had to make a strong boat to hold a lot of pennies.
A challenge I overcame in this project was the metal sheet. I could do it by adding new stuff to my boat to make it stronger.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change by chosing a different bottoms. The reason why I would change it is because it would make this project more interesting.
