8P3 - Laser Cut

Using laser cutting, I created My name on to a piece of wood because Its something simple for my first time cutting, and later I could do something more difficult

During this process, I learned how to use Tinkertad to make my board size and I also learned how to find a picture and make an SVG to send to Mr. renner.

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to digital citizen because I had to make my creation in a digital world and make it real.

A challenge I overcame in this project was the metal sheet. I could do it by asking my classmates questions, trying new things, and experimenting with it.

Given a chance to do this again, I would change this by knowing more about what I'm doing and. The reason why I would change it is because It would make this project a lot easier. Because its easier the project would go a lot faster.

Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, and Marketing.  My project connects to the engineering design CTE program at Hastings High School.  

My project connects to careers in Computer numerical control because In this job they use laser cutting for metals and other scraps and they use computer programming for the operation of their manufacturing tools, this is why Computer numerical control relates to this project.
