Using 3D printing, I created a mini ping pong set because I don't have ping pong and I would like to play with friends.
During this process, I learned how to use Tinkertad to make my creations and I also learned how to send my 3d print to people.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Empowered Learner because I had to watch videos on the internet of how to make the project and take my 3d print of the printer.
A challenge I overcame on this project was what to create and how to create it. I was able to do it by asking questions and trying new things.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change this to a different creation. The reason why I would change it is because I would like to try different things to make a harder creation so I can be better at this.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, and Marketing. My project connects to the engineering design CTE program at Hastings High School.
My project connects to careers in plastic engineering because they use their 3d printing skills by developing and testing new plastic.
