Using Lego, I created a custom box because it seemed like a new and interesting idea.
During this process, I learned to have more patience because it kept breaking until it was done.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Knowledge Constructor because instead of buying certain Legos I needed I cut some and made it into the Legos I needed.
A challenge I overcame on this project was having to learn how to make it open. I was able to do it by using movable parts.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change color. The reason why I would change it is because a random mix didn't look as good as I thought.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Engineering Design CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in Digital Citizen because I uploaded and explained what my project was online.
First I made a Handel thing so the box could open and close
Next I made the top layer.
I had to cut the Lego on the left so it would turn into the Lego i needed on the right.
I made the begging of the "K."
On the opposite side I made the bottom of the "L."
Next I finished the K and added more to the wall.
I added more progress to the L.
Them I finished up the wall.
Next I finished the L.
After that I added the beginning of the roof.
I added more to my roof.
Then i finished the roof.
Finally I added a floor.
A video of my finished project.
