To be an Empowered Learner can mean multiple things, but all tie together to create a goal for yourself. A goal could be practically anything, but for a goal an empowered learner ties into learning something, or possibly finishing an assignment. Students (empowered learners) should be able to create, demonstrate, and complete a goal of their choice, but are also able to reflect on whether or not they have successfully completed that goal. Somebody who is an empowered learner is able to figure out a situation or a strategy for that goal they’re set on by not being afraid to explore within their work or outside their work.
To be a Digital Citizen means to be able to use technology safely, respectfully, and responsibly. Being a digital citizen can show that you know how to travel throughout the internet, while being safe, legal and ethical. To do all these things, a person needs to recognize and beware of their actions, and to know that what they do can- and will- have an effect on themselves or others.
What it means to be a Knowledge Constructor is to be a student who uses tools online to accumulate knowledge, and create learning experiences that can help us in the current or future. Somebody who is a knowledge constructor will find the information that they’ll need by using effective strategies. By doing this, they can create meaningful research sessions that can prove useful.
An Innovative Designer uses multiple pieces of technological equipment within their process of creating. A person that is an innovative designer can find ways to solve problems by making new and useful strategies to solve their problems. An innovative designer may make a plan and test a design process, or a prototype of their choice, and does this with thought out and planned risks.
Computational Thinking means to think or solve things as if you are a person such as a computer scientist. The thought process of this requires you to understand problems and how to find solutions for such problems, and means you'll need to use logic, patterns, and generalization. Such solutions need computational steps and algorithms, and a computational thinker also is able to do that.
Just as the name suggests, being a creative communicator means to make a point in a creative way, towards a targeted audience. But to communicate creatively, you need to be clear on your purposes and intentions on the subject you’re talking about. Ways to become a creative communicator can tie itself into what you do, such as, using the correct and appropriate platforms, tools and other digital media.
To globally collaborate, means to ( as a student, ) use the resources that you have online and help with perspective's by connecting with others locally and globally. These groups can help with various things, including helping grow mutual understanding on project(s) and certain subject(s) that students may struggle with. These groups are great to work with, as they can help tackle certain situations that people may struggle with, especially on their own.
