Using sewing machine, fabric, an thread, I created a bag because I wanted to make something For one of my friends as a birthday gift.
During this process, I learned make something bigger then a lanyard and a hat.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Empowered Learner because I chose what sewing machine, pattern, threading to use, and how big it is.
A challenge I overcame on this project was what stitch to use an pattern.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change how big it is. The reason why I would change it is because it is a little small.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Engineering Design CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers like Drafting technician, Mechanical designer, and Manufacturing engineer.

Day 1:I was figuring out what to make and what pattern.
Day 2-4: I went on my website and I added everything I could add to it.
Day 5: I cut out my project, started sewing, and I finished my project.
