8P4-sewing

Using sewing machine, fabric, an thread, I created a bucket hat because I wanted to make something for my cousin as a present.

During this process, I learned how to the a bucket hat and how to sew it.

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Empowered Learner because I chose what sewing machine, pattern, and threading to use.

A challenge I overcame on this project was how to make the hat. I was able to do it by practices how to make it.

Given a chance to do this again, I would change how big it is. The reason why I would change it is because It is small It mite not fit my cousin.

Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Engineering Design CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers like Drafting technician, Mechanical designer, Manufacturing engineer, and Biomedical engineer.

Daily Log:

Day 1-4: I was figuring out what to make.

Day 5-7: I went on my website and I added everything I could add to it and I figured out what pattern.

Day 8-12: I cut out my project and started sewing.

Day 13: I finished my project.
