Using sewing machine, fabric, an thread, I created a lanyard because I need one for my I.D. During this process, I learned use the sewing machine. The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Empowered Learner because I chose what sewing machine and threading to use. A challenge I overcame on this project was how to use the sewing machine. I was able to do it by practices how to do it. Given a chance to do this again, I would change the sawing seems. The reason why I would change it is because They are not the best and not that straight. Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Engineering Design CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers like Drafting technician, Mechanical designer, Manufacturing engineer, and Biomedical engineer.
Daily Log:
Day 1-5:I was sick so I could not do my project on day 1-5.
Day 6: I got taught the basics with the sewing machine and practiced on threading the machine
Day 7-8: I cut out my project and started sewing.
Day 9: I went on my website and I added everything to it.
Day 10-12: I finished my project.
